Heat wave likely to continue in next 72 hrs

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

Rain or thunder shower accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Severe heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Faridpur, Jessore, Kushtia, Satkhira and Mongla.

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Barisal divisions and remaining part of Khulna, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions and the regions of Chandpur, M.Court and Srimangal, reports BSS.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Heat wave condition is likely to continue in the next 72 hours.

The sun sets at 6:25pm today and rises at 5:28am tomorrow in the capital city.

Minimum temperature of Monday was recorded 17 degrees Celsius at Dimla and maximum temperature of yesterday (Sunday) was 41 degrees Celsius at Jessore.
