HC asks UK-Bangla Trading boss to surrender in graft case

Thereport24.com Correspondent, Dhaka:

The High Court on Monday asked UK-Bangla Trading Limited Chairman Ahmed Tajuddin to surrender within four weeks before a trial court in a case lodged over BASIC Bank loan fraud.

A High Court vacation bench comprising Justice Gobinda Chandra Tagore and Justice Razik-Al-Jalil passed the order asking him to deposit Taka two crore to BASIC Bank on the day of his surrender, reports BSS.

According to the order, he will have to deposit Taka two crore in every two months until the loan is paid off.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against the accused with Gulshan Police Station on September 21, 2015, for taking Taka 45 crore from the bank with forge documents and misappropriating the money.
