Gulshan attack mastermind Tamim's close-aid held Desk:

Police on Wednesday night arrested a close accomplice of the Gulshan attack mastermind Tamim Chowdhury from Tongi on the outskirts of the capital city, reports BSS.

"We arrested a neo JMB member Salah Uddin Kamran, 30, from Tongi Station Road area around 8pm yesterday," said deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Masudur Rahman.

During the preliminary interrogation, he confessed that he was close to Abu Hakim Nayeem, Tamim Chowdhury and other top leaders of the neo JMB.

Of them, Nayeem was killed in police action at Taj Manjil in city's Kalyanpur area while Tamim was killed in another police action at Narayanganj.

He came to Dhaka in May in 2016 after being educated in the ideology of militancy and took training from another militant Rakibul Hasan Rigen at Paikpara in the city.
